The music is inspired on the observation of the self. Each song being a window to one’s many states, building an auditory landscape of many layers evoking from a sense of wonder, dread, mystery, tranquility, to just contemplation.

Accidental Associations is formed by Jaime Cavazos and Rodolfo Garza from Monterrey, México.
Cavazos engineered Garza’s former band “Barbelo” produced by Jorge Reyes (Chac Mool) and later “Arkha Nous” giving foot to the development of ideas that both had in common. Garza’s Contemporary New Age style on the keyboards and Cavazos’ Rock and Prog Rock experience on bass form playing in bands in the 80’s ,90’s, and early 2000 ( Raxé, Ossia, Dunas, Los Garrets ) gave birth to a style with diverse influences. After a couple years working on ideas, they decided to produce ten of these on an album. The recordings were enriched with the talent of long time friends/musicians from Monterrey like guitarist Alejandro “Pajjaro” Medína (Pajjaro, Los Garrets), Ivan Taméz -Guitar (Gigur, Mamíferos Habituales), Emmanuel García -Guitar (Ulmater), Trumpet player Carlos Garza (Jazz player, Session musician), Beto Ramos -Drums (Jumbo, Session drummer ) , Myrthala Bray on Vocals (Mutum), Caro Vargas -Vocals (Jonaz, Session Vocalist) , Sergio “El Bajote” Elizondo -(Bass Vocal), Miguel Lawrence -Flute (Orquesta Barroca Mexicana).
